Meet Brian Lau
Entrepreneur, collector, and founder of 1MoreTime Watches, a boutique watch store built around transparency, education, and trust in the luxury watch market.
Brian is a 43-year entrepreneur and angel investor who has spent decades cultivating relationships and building businesses. Before launching his watch store, he served as a director at a cybersecurity company, where he developed deep expertise in business development, networking, and strategic partnerships — skills that now shape how he approaches the luxury watch world.
A watch collector since 2007, Brian turned a personal passion into a thriving business. Over the years, he has built a reputation within the global watch community and has personally facilitated more than $200 million in watch sales, helping collectors source and trade some of the most sought-after timepieces in the market.
After experiencing the risks and frustrations of buying watches online himself, Brian built 1 More Time Watches with a different philosophy: creating a transparent and educational buying experience that removes the uncertainty many collectors face. But watches are only part of Brian’s collecting journey.
Meet Nick Amato
You may recognize him from Netflix, but behind the face there is an avid watch collector and proud owner of 1MoreTime Watches.
Nick’s path into watches wasn’t manufactured; it was earned early. While studying health and law at the University of Michigan, he developed an obsession for watches from the ground up. Long before it was a business, it was a reputation: friends relied on their "watch guy" to navigate purchases, avoid costly mistakes, and identify pieces that would actually hold value. He wasn’t just helping them buy watches- he was teaching them how to think about the market and build relationships.
During the COVID era, Nick made the decisive move to leave his law career and pursue watches full-time, launching Nick of Times Luxury Watches, a name still recognized by many of his early clients. Through relentless execution and a growing network, he quickly established himself as a trusted source for rare and investment-grade timepieces.
Today, joining 1MT Watches, Nick works with collectors, celebrities, and industry insiders to discreetly source and transact some of the most sought-after watches in the world. Known for speed, precision, and access, he operates behind the scenes, travels around the world to source watches, and ensures deals are done with confidence.
Beyond watches, Nick is a national champion duathlete, a licensed pilot, mountaineer, and a collector of vintage cars—bringing the same discipline, focus, and performance mindset to everything he does.
At 1MoreTime Watches, Brian and Nick do more than sell watches—they expertly source them at the most competitive prices. Built on referrals and trust, our business has grown through genuine relationships with fellow enthusiasts. In 2025, we proudly opened our first by-appointment-only location in Summit, NJ, offering a personalized experience for every collector.
